DRESS CODE POLICY
- WeebCon is a family-friendly event. There will be minors in attendance, so please keep that in mind when considering your clothing, cosplay, and conduct.
- Dance belts, underwear, and nude body suits are great tools if your planned cosplay is too revealing.
- Your cosplay cannot be a danger to anyone else. Long dragging fabrics that can be tripped on, or sharp parts that can be tripped on to, are not allowed.
- Cosplay must be able to easily fit through convention doors. Oversized cosplay that causes blockages will not be permitted.
- Attendees may not wear a uniform that can be mistaken for official medical, police, SWAT, FBI, or other law enforcement agencies.
- No hate symbols, profanity, or graphic sexual imagery may be displayed on costumes or clothing.
- Any signage from attendees must relate to the character being cosplayed. Signs of any type unrelated to the costume/cosplay or soliciting anything (i.e., no “FREE HUGS” or similar signage).
- No realistic guns of any kind. Airsoft, Nerf guns, water guns, paintball guns, etc. will not be permitted if they look like the real thing.
- Even unrealistic guns must be non-functioning, No functioning prop, curio, replica, or toy capable of firing a projectile, explosive cap or blank cartridge will be allowed.
- All weapon looking props must go to prop check. If WeebCon staff/volunteer requests you go to prop check, you are required to go.
- No bunny/Easter references in costumes are allowed.
- Hotel staff, law enforcement, and WeebCon staff will have sole discretion to refuse or restrict any cosplay or costume for any reason at any time. Should a cosplay or costume be deemed unfit, you may be asked to change or leave.
